My name is Lyndsey Wathen and I am the owner and designer for Little Blue Design Co! I love to work with small businesses and work on projects that benefit my community. I am skilled in logo creation, web design, social media and print marketing, as well as designing event collateral and planning. I always do my best to design in an environmentally conscious way by using recycled materials and/or cutting down on actual print material where possible (my own business cards are made of recycled cotton t-shirts!)
I am currently based out of Jefferson - a small town in central Iowa that gives off STRONG Stars Hollow vibes. (I love Gilmore Girls) I live here with my handsome husband, Tyler, and our sweet pups, Goober and Pepper. My favorite things include the color black, ice cream, hanging out enjoying video games or a good movie, following Jesus, and spending time with friends and family.

I grew up drawing and doodling on anything I could, so I'm not surprised I ended up in a creative career! My first graphic design course was my sophomore year of high school and I was hooked. I moved to Ames in 2013 to attend Iowa State University - there I made some of my greatest memories and even better friends! I spent my college years living in an apartment with two of my besties on Little Bluestem Ct, that we affectionately called "Little Blue". That apartment was the first place that felt like "home" after I moved out of my parent's house. So when it was time to create a business to do my freelance work under, it only made sense to call it Little Blue Design Co.
Little Blue was my home, and I hope that my designs can inspire and foster that same feeling with you.
